I would say yes, but maybe a doctor could give you a better idea. The "new" method of looking at under/overweight is the BMI (body mass index). You would get a better idea if you get that checked to see if it is in the normal range for your age.

try this site http://health.yahoo.com/ency/healthwise/tx4379

or http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/bmi/

I hope that one of these helps you out!

Yes, sweetie 80 pounds is too too small for an 18 year old. You need to be at less 120pds to be healthy, and it all so depends on your height. Are you a active teen?

I guess that depends on how tall you are. If you are 18 but only 4' something , then it is probably not that bad.
However, if you are over 5'2 or so, it is probably super-skinny. My 13 year old weighs 119.. of course she is almost 5'5", though.

the average eighteen year old girl, and I mean by average the skinny in a non anorexic, hot way, is 110-120 pounds. if your eightenn and eighty pounds, it depends on your height, but if your over 5 feet tall I would say you need a doctor. now.

If you are over 5 feet & 3 inches then you are more than likely too thin. Build a work out sceme to build some muscle, the appetite will follow.

Yes. My niece is 11 and 87 pounds - 60% height and 57% weight. She's not overweight.

that depends entirely on the height and frame of the 18 year old

at 18 I was 5'4" and 90 lbs this was normal weight for me and perfectly healthy

at 25 I was 5'6" and 95 lbs and was still normal healthy weight

I'm not 9 weeks pregnant and 102lbs and still normal healthy weight

Yes. Also you need to consider your height and build. Big boned people tend to weight more as do taller people. It is still skinny even if you are short though.
