Usually they just flip open, but there may be a trick to it. Take a quick look in your manual.

What model is it? The PEBL has a magnetic latch that tends to keep the sucker closed - BTW if ANYONE has that - WARNING - DO NOT USE IT AS A MONEY CLIP AND STORE YOUR CREDIT/DEBIT/ATM card in it - IT WILL ERASE YOUR INFO!!!!
but anyway, to open the PEBL - you just pull GENTLY down on the front - it popps right open.

If you cant open it, odds are its not a flip phone!

Thats odd, usually they just open easily. Maybe it's broken.
