What's with the stupid answers?!?! How is that helpful?

Anyway, I wouldn't say there is ONE big issue in the entire state. It really and truly depends on what part of the state you're in. The biggest issue in Southern Colorado, (which is where I am) is the SDS Pipeline. This is a proposed waterline to carry water from the Arkansas in Pueblo to Colorado Springs. The big problem is Colorado Springs has a difficult time keeping their raw sewage where it belongs. They've had far too many sewage spills in the Fountain Creek, which travel down to Pueblo and into the Arkansas. So, naturally, Pueblo wants them to build their Pipeline BELOW the confluence and force them to clean up their mess. And of course, Springs thinks that would be far too expensive and inconvienent. This may not be the biggest issue, but believe me, it's a doozy!

Notice that only spills involving more that 25,000 gallons are recorded there. How disgusting is that?

Do you mean a social issue? Political?

Wild Fires are a big issue in CO right now, as in the Gay Marriage Debate and Military issues coming home from Iraq. We have a lot going on out here!
