Yes. The bible says that the poor will be with us always and that it would be easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. With that said, I do think that if someone has the means to help someone else less furtunate then it is his or her moral responsibility to do so. Remember, Love thy neighbor as you love yourself. If you were poor and needed the help you would want someone to help you right? In America we are expected to pull ourselves up by our boot straps, but, if you don't have any boots or any straps then how can you pull yourself up? People need the help of other people sometimes. It all depends. I believe the people who should get help are the ones looking to make a change. Maybe they are down on their luck and need to catch a break. There's others who are less fortunate, but who could care less about trying. When I say 'trying', I'm not talking about the ones who felt they have lost hope, but the ones who are lazy and want everything handed to them. If anybody has the desire to change and want to do something about it, I think they should get a chance.

totally. If you have a lot of money and don't know what to do with some of it, I think you should give to the poor or donate it to a charity for children with cancer, also kids in other countries that don't have the same privileges as we do!
