Ahhh contrary cat haters! It depends on your actual preference. Cats like attention as much as dogs do.
Dogs however, must be let out on a regular basis for bathroom purposes, or if it's kept outside, you must clean up after it or have fun stepping in dog doodie. I have had many a laugh with my dogs, and just as many with my cats. Personal preference is the key answer!

If you want a pet that is easier to care for, get a cat. They use the litter box, sleep most of the time, are very little trouble. If you want a pet to play with, to teach tricks to, to be a great companion, get a dog.

Dogs are better. Dogs are much more fun. Dogs are much easier to train. Dogs are much more useful.
Cats are annoying. Cats are ugly. Kittens are cute, but they grow into cats. They don't do anything new.
If you can't tell, my answer is "dog."

Dogs r the best u can let them run around and you can play with them alt more. All u have to do is feed it 2 times or3 times a day.

Cats are nasty and sneaky and will turn on you. They also have a psychological disorder. Get a dog, they love us. Remember this: dog spelled backwards = God.
Get a dog and you will be glad you did!!

don't listen to cat haters. cats rock! dogs do to, but cats are better. cats aren't huge, they don't track mud, they are adorable, their craps aren't the size of your hand, their food doesn't weigh 50 lbs, trust me, i had 2 dogs once. A colly (who sadly died) and a dalmation {still alive :-)}. they are soooooooooooooo cute, but very hard to take care of. and besides, if you own an apartment, most land lords allow cats, but not dogs.

Dogs are so much better. They will greet you when you come home instead of running and hiding. They play nice instead of scarring up your arms and legs.
And most importantly their hair does not cause my throat to close up or my eyes to water.

Dogs because they are always your company but require work.. they are like your best friends.. want to walk with you talk to you and love you ..expect you to exercise them feed them and play with them- especially certain breeds.. If you don't have time.. don't get a retriever.. they need attention and love ALLL the time
Cats on the otherhand also have personalities. and they entertain you. however they are less work - just feed them and empty their litter boxes

dogs - more fun, can take them for walks, protects you a lot, and a lovable companian.
cats - easier to take care of, don't have to give them baths, cleaner, and a lovable companian.
