I guess it could if you get drunk.
If you did get drunk it wouldn't last that long if the pain does go away, everyone is different.
When I got really bad cramps I used this one heating pad that you can buy at wal-mart or any place. It sticks to your abdomen and heats up. I put one on my back as well because I got back cramps. Either that or midol works really well.
Percocet works the best. I had that after I had my last child for pain. But they can be addictive.
Exercise helps get your "flow" going. If you lie down it just sort of sits there. When you move around you are helping push things out. After I had my son the wanted me to walk around when I was up.
Also, I have never noticed Midol making my cramping worse. I use it all the time and its funny because my cramping is the same if not better. And it does take down the bloating and the cramps. If it wasn't good I don't think it would be sold and my doctor wouldn't recommend it.

This is just what some people would like to believe but it is not true. If you got drunk you may not feel the pain but the problems of a drunkard is much worse than that of a periodic problem.
Just take some pain killers and rest. Do not stay in bed all day though, you need to move about a little. The movement helps to relax you and the cramps are not as painful.

I would think any alcohol would help with cramps. Alcohol has long been used as a pain reliever. It provides a euphoric high which helps relieve tension and promotes relaxation. Brandy is just another from of wine, similar to cognac, being much stronger than table wine. Remember to drink responsibly and do not mix alcohol with other pain medicine because the effects of the alcohol increase as your body detox’s the pain medicine. That means that you could obtain an excessive BAC which can lead to sickness or uncontrollable behavior from what you thought was “just a drink or two”. Cheers!

Some of the people posted mentioned pills like Midol. That type of medication is high in caffeine which actually make your cramps worse.
A pain reliever like Advil and lying down in the fetal position with a pillow pressed against my belly helps. Also drink lots of water and if you use tampons, try finding ones that are all natural and bleach free. My sister switched to these and it has helped with her cramps significantly. Good luck!

It's an old wives tale. Best bet for cramps is ibuprofen, or as strange as it sounds is rub some Vicks vapor rub on your abdomen right where you are feeling the cramps. Sometimes some mild exercise also helps, nothing too strenuous though.

Actually caffeine is good for cramping, that's the only difference between Tylenol and something like Midol.

No, but I would reccomend that you use either midol or pamprin to relieve cramps. You can also try taking a hot bubble bath.

I don't know. But if you go on the pill, usually your cramps will be reduced, or maybe you won't have any at all.
