A better question would be, how does wearing glasses stop people recognising him? Seriously, all the people in Metrolpolis see Superman everyday and all he has to do is put on glasses to disguise himself !

I does not prevent him,he just makes an excuse and goes to the rescue.And he has to earn a living even superman has bills.

His job does not prevent him from stopping crime. He simply breaks away when he has to and then comes back to work when he's done breaking his foot off in some villains asse.

Well, I think because he is supposed to be an 'example' to us all.. Fight crime, stand up for what's right.. but unless u hit the daily 6, U GOTS TO GO GET PAID, MAN!!
(superhero's don't get paid- however their chicks/dudes are unearthily STACKED- maybe THAT's the pay off??)

He did fight crime when he was at work dude. More to the point What the hell are the police doing if we needed an alien to come and sort **** out. TAX REFUND.

Because he has to pay the bills like everyone else and I didn't ever see him get paid for fighting crime.

haha I never thought of that....maybe so he has a cover so no one finds out that he's superman because he's just an "ordinary" guy that has a day job?
