Reasons not to swear? Anyone?

it is not bad if you say it to people you know as a joke, is is bad when you say it to someone with the intention of hurting them. Swearing makes you look less intelligent because people who swear look like they can not express themselves in any other way without screaming out a bunch of jibberish.

It is desrespectful to whoever you are speaking to. it also shows a lack of intellegence on the part of the person doing the swearing. People usually swear if they are losing the argument and cannot back up their thoughts with intellegence.

When you swear people lose respect for you and your opinions because swearing makes you appear uneducated, ignorant and trashy.

I think it is a stupid thing to be offended by. a word is a word, they are bad words because someone of some importance at one time in history didn't like it. its ridiculous really, how is the word poop and the word **** different? they mean the same thing. just different spellings different pronunciations. it is a stupid fact in our ignorant culture.

because it degrades the language and furthurs along the process of the language decaying to the point in which it will no longer be usable & people won't be able to communicate

In its negative sense it means to use profane oaths; to curse.
