I think that killing with kindness means hitting someone over the head with a bible

Then you haven't tried hard enough. Kill with kindness is allegorical in one sense, but at times, actually happens. If you've ever seen a kid with a new pet, they want to feed it all the time, and can actually over-feed it to the point where it dies. They compound this by packing it around so it gets no exercise, and sometimes literally smother it by wrapping it up to keep it warm.
It's the same in human life -- except we don't actually kill people, but we can stunt their development by overprotecting them.
Hope this is helpful!

PS: I'm glad you haven't killed anyone yet, with kindness or anything else...

Correct. It's not really killing. It's a way of dealing with someone who treats you ugly. Some people are just looking for a reaction from you. If you don't provide a reaction and just keep being nice you are essentially winning by being the better person.

well think about this then my friend and elderly neighbor who is a lovely person keeps buying me sweets chocolate and cakes ,very nice you may say how kind .the reason she does this is because when her daughter is away we look after her and that's her way of showing gratitude .but I'm diabetic and have told her many times and she still does not grasp the fact that i cant eat them ,so if i was weak willed and ate all of them it literally would kill me .therefore she would kill me with her kindness

it's not the literal meaning of "kill". Killing with kindness is being so sugary sweet and nice to someone that they can't stand to talk to you anymore. This is because any type of insult they throw your way is deflected by you turning something negative into a positive.

Ask Geddy Lee, lead singer of Rush. In his song "Free Will", he says you can choose "Kindness that can kill".

I personally believe it refers to being so very kind and sweet to someone that they would rather die than put up with another minute of it.
