This is a broad question, but I felt compelled to answer as this issue is high on the boards these days. First of all, the question has to be more detailed. IE: What are our worries on the Southern Border that dont exist on the Northern Border? Primarily, the biggest issue that exist right now, is illegal immrigration. If this is the basis of your question, here is a simple answer. The reason we dont have an issue with illegal immigration at the Northern border, is that Canada does not have the major economic problems that many Mexican Nationals face. Mexico is a slowly, but surely, losing the middle class sector. As more people get pushed into poverty, they feel the need to maintain a good standard of living, but with such low wages at that level, it is impossible to meet the needs of these people. Moving to America, is the easiest solution for many of them. Due to the lengthy and complicated process of immigrating legally, most people are not willing to wait for the normal process and therefore take the easy way, immigrating through illegal methods.

The Hispanic countries are the ones invading us, not Canadians, and if they were I would want more protection on the northern border. How many poor and uneducated do you think this country can take they are coming in to fast, those countries are exporting their poor because they don't want to do anything to help them.

Your question has some validity, on an identical time as we are actually not overly in touch that Canadians will immigrate; the subject is that many immigrants from different international locations do first pass to Canada because of the convenience of doing so......then later get smuggled around the border into the U.S. i might component out that those illegals are from many diverse united states's different than Mexico. Many are from eire, China, India etc. apparently for citys on the brink of the border which includes Buffalo and Detroit most of the good paying commercial jobs have been held by Canadians who crossed the border each and daily to artwork interior the U.S. on an identical time as they lived in Canada. Many worked for GM and Ford for years and retired. while the forex replace became extreme they had very a lot! i might component out that an American could desire to no longer pass to considered one of their flora in Canada and artwork.

Canadian authorities work hard to stop criminal elements inside their own country who would do harm to the United States. I'm not sure the same could be said for Mexico. Just a couple of weeks ago, a terrorist cell was stopped in Toronto, Canada. They had in their posession three times the amount of explosives used to blow up the Oklahoma federal building.

Why are you worried about our northern borders?

Neither, we are allowing our government to create fear in our society so that most of society will stay ignorant and not realize that a major change in government (not just on the Republican side as true Republicans were for less government power) is desperately needed.

Because you don't see 11 million+ Canadians trying to come into the country illegally.

Canada protects its coastal borders and does not suffer from poverty and overpopulation as do our southern neighbors. Canadians are, for the most part, glad to stay where they are. Have you ever met an illegal Canadian alien. I have, but only one.

Because we are narrow-minded. If I recall correctly, the "millennium bomber" tried to cross the border from Canada, not Mexico.

Even though all the talk is about Mexico, I'm pretty sure whatever we do about it will apply to all borders.
