I take zinc products at the first sign of a cold...cold-eeze or the Target version. Also echinacea herbal tea (some people say goldenseal helps them too) Also lots and lots of Vitamin C!

I love airborne and zycam, but sunshine, orange juice, and zinc lozenges work really well, too.

If you want to spend time outside, then spend time outside! Heck, if you're going to be miserable, it isn't going to make any difference if you're in the house or out. On top of that, if you've already had this thing for a few days, you're probably not even contagious anymore, so take a steamy morning shower, pop some decongestants or expectorants, put on some sunscreen and go for it!

Well son I'm not big on the taking of medicines. So what I normally do is get me some sun lots of sun and drink plenty of water and orange juice. This combine with some rest and in three to four days tops my cold is gone

Rest up before the weekend. Also, what type of a cold is it? Allergies? Take some medicene that is specifically for your syptoms. Oh yeah...juice and Vitamin C drops will help also. Or...just eat a bag of oranges. LOL!

A good rest in bed for 3 days would get the flu away or else you'd suffer complications while enjoying the nice outdoor climate.

A cold usually lasts about seven days.

If you medicate, it usually lasts about a week.

(But the cold meds seem to make it more bearable.)
