Multiply by 1728.

Since there are 12 inches in a foot, there there are 12^3 in^3 in one ft^3, so for each ft^3, there are 1728 in^3.

1 cubic foot equals 1ftx1ftx1ft, which is the same as 12inx12inx12in. So that is one cubic foot changed to be measured in cubic inches. But if you want just inches, you can't because you can't convert volume to length

Cannot be done. Inches is a lnear measure, cubic inches is a volumetric measure.

Now...if what you mean is cubic inches, then there are 0.0005787 cubic inches in one cubic foot.

inches is a measure of length whereas cubic ft. is a measure of volume. If you would like to convert cubic ft to cubic in. we can do that.

multiply by the following conversion factor:

x in.^3 x (1 ft. / 12in.)^3

Good luck

The same as you would the volume for any 3D rectangular object. Width x height x depth. For one cubic foot, 12in. x 12in. x 12in. = 1,728 inches cubed.

(x/12) (y/12)(z/12) or (xyz/1728)

for ex:
Lets say you have 4 inches, 3 inches, and 6 inches

(4/12)(3/12)(6/12)
(1/3)(1/4)(1/2)
(1/24) ft^3

If you would like to give me some numbers i can show you how to work it.
