I've been using Bare Minerals for over 3 years now. I started out by purchasing the kit from the infomercial. The shade I actually needed is not available in the kits so I ordered it from QVC.
It works very well. For me it covers what I want to cover and need to cover. A little goes a long way. It took about 4 days before I really got the hang of putting it on. I was used to having the mask of foundation on my face so it was a shock to see that a little bit of the Bare Minerals actually covered my face and it looked natural.
If you're near a Bare Escentuals boutique or Sephora store I would try there if not order from the infomercial. I had to exchange one color and had no issues doing so.
The instructional video that was in my kit was informative and I learned different ways to use the other products that are sold.
Give it a try, you have nothing to lose.

This is the best makeup out there, honestly. I've been using it for a little over a year and I will never go back to liquid makeup. I had very oily, break-out prone skin, and this makeup has really helped my skin.
It does get messy, being a loose powder, so you just have to be careful in the morning, but the benefits out-weight the mess.

I haven't tried that brand, but I have been using mineral makeup for about a month now. I like it. It makes my skin feel great and it doesn't break out so often anymore.
The only problem is, if you do happen to have a blemish, it's not going to cover it like liquid foundation will. It won't be as red as if you weren't in makeup at all - but it will be noticeable.

I tried it recently. It works ok, but what I don't like about it is it is messy. A loose powder kind of sprinkles everywhere. It gives your face a lite matte finish and it doesn't look oily, feels clean. I travel a lot, and they include a travel pack but it is really a mess.

Love, love it!! And people always remark how good I look. It comes with a video of instruction so you know how to do it well.

yes and it has a very pretty glow especially for younger skin. merle norman is the best for younger skin also.
