First off, there wasn't ever a strike. It was a lockout and that really sucked big time. That happened for the entire 2004-2005 season. The first game of the "New NHL" was 5 October 2005. Right now the Stanley Cup Finals are going on. Next game (Game 6) is this Saturday in Edmonton. I think that faceoff is at 5pm local time.

But the answer to your question will I watch NHL games? Absolutely. I love hockey for the game, I started out on skates right before my 2nd birthday and I've been playing ever since then. Nothing will ever change my love for the game - no lockout, no nothing. I'll watch as many games as I possibly can pull my kids away from cartoons for, it's all for the love of the game of hockey.

What 'zing'? NHL attendance is up this year. Besides, even if every single American stopped watching, there would still be plenty of fans. Think about it.

Surf the sports channels at that time and maybe you'll get your answer.

Its pretty bad, the do need to get a contract with ESPN so they can boost the sport. Signing a TV deal with OLN was stupid.
