I really don't want to scare or make her feel down. Is it necessary for me to tell her, or should I keep it a secret?

Take her to a nice dinner at Pizza Hut and tell her the bad news.

First of all, I can't believe you're trusting millions of strangers to give you advice on such a serious subject. To answer your first question you just tell her, theres no easy way to do it. To answer your second question no don't keep it from her for lots of reasons. What if something happened to you (God forbid) and you had to be rushed to the hospital? She would have no clue. But mainly because shes your wife and she has the right to know everything about you. If she a good wife she'll stick with you no matter what.

Don't keep it a secret. She has a right to know, she's your wife and cares about your health. You just need to sit her down and explain the situation calmly and slowly. It may be a surprise to her so be ready to console her. You need her to know because you have a long road ahead of you and you need her to support you. Hope everything goes well. Best of luck!

you can't keep it a secret!! then she'll really be upset. you need to sit her down and tell her. besides you need all the support you can get! if she meant what she said in the vows, "for better or worse", then she will understand. don't worry about her feeling down, that's sweet, but you don't need any more stress right now! sorry for your situation. lean on her shoulder, don't be to prideful to do that.

Talk to her calmly about it. Be cheerful and hopeful and keep your spirits up. There is alot of hope for help here and maybe even completely recovered and cancer free again someday! You and your family will be in our prayers. I hope that God will touch you in a special way today!

No, do not keep it a secret. You must absolutely tell her - openly, honestly, gently. Don't go through it alone. She is your WIFE!

I don't think there's anything you can do to make it easier on her, but you definitely need to tell her.
