I am 19 and I want to be prepared when I get out on my own, which will be in just 2 months. I have some money saved up so I can but the things I need for my apartment, but I need help with the not-so-obvious. I know I will need to buy towels and kitchen stuff, but maybe someone who has been there, done that, can tell me what things they realized they needed AFTER they moved in that they didnt think about before... Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!!

All of these are good--
I would suggest you think thru a scenario-- like so..
I sleep so I need bed/linens/pillows--
I shower so I need towel, handtowel, washcloth, bathmat, soap, etc
I eat breakfast-- so I need bowls for cereal, spoon, sugar
fried eggs so I need skillet, butter or ??? microwave bacon so I need a bacon microwave cooker
toast so I need a toaster oven ( get a toaster oven that is multi use-- oven/toast/bake/broil and pans that fit.....or toaster
I have guests so I need glassware, tidbit plates--cocktail materials---
The operative word is NEED. You get the drift. Get some friends together and make a list--
And congrats on thinking ahead-- I don't see it very often from your age group-- sounds like you will do fine on your own.

plenty of decorations. shelves. knick-knacks. tea pot with whistle. curtains. shelves. kitten. ambience. lamps. a place to sit down. tools for building shelves. a bottle of good red wine. oh, and a plunger.
