Did the Captin of the 'Titanic' Cry?

i believe he cryed ive researched the titanic and he did not cry for himself but for the ppl who could not get in boats his co-captian said this in a book i read i cant remember the title the co-captian survived cause he got drunk and the alchohol in his system kept his body warm and he survived its weird so i can go into a full explination.

I've done extensive research on Titanic (the actual sinking, not the movie) and he sure as heck did not cry. Men were men back in those days, for the most part. Bruce Ismay, owner of the White Star Line, was a major exception.

In the movie, he went down bravely, at the helm. But he did weep for the tremendous loss of life.

well i think he did cry but only when he was alone setting an example of a good captain who didnt show up his weakness n encouraged his team
