Goths, unfortunately, have a bad rap because of their preferred tastes. The darkness, bloodlust, and sinister atmosphere of the goth world is turnoff for most folks. Because goths are not "mainstream" the lifestyle tends to attract many who are
outcast by the rest of society, and as well as more than their fair share of troublemakers. Most people don't want to think about real life vampires or witches or wizards and what have you. The world is supposed to be a happy place and all that rot.
Utter nonsense if you ask me. I'm so sick and tired of like 2% of the population controlling what is cool and what is normal and what is acceptable. Dark clothes and make up don't bother me - pink, frilly aprons and Avon ladies scare the beegeezus outta me.

I don't care for emo or goths. They want attention & go about getting it in the worst way. I simply ignore them & refuse to give them the attention they crave. I always wonder, tho, when Goths grow up, what will they become? Can they get jobs looking like that & dressing as they do? Will they take all of the hardware out of their faces & cover up their tatoos & take off the black nail polish? Would they ever do something so mainstream as get a home with a mortgage, get married & have children? I just don't know.

wow... that was rude! I think that people have their own thoughts and opinions on people. Get to know someone before you label them as "emo" or "goth". Why would you hate someone for dressing in all black or being "emo" if you didn't know them personally?

OMG.... that was sooo rude! I think that people have their own thoughts and opinions on people. Get to know someone before you label them as "emo" or "goth". Why would you hate someone for dressing in all black or being "emo" if you didn't know them personally? You just have to get to know people before you judge them........ you may find out you like them.... best of luck......

Emos are just goths that want to act gay.
People hate it when you cry for attention.
Quit conforming to your "nonconformist" friends. Be a regular kid and stop trying to be special. Grow up!

Well I let their teeny minds think/ that they are dealing with someone who is over the brink/ and I dress this way/ just to keep them at bay/ cause Halloween is everyday

I think its the color that they always wear, which is of course black and how they think. its what they represent and the message that it sends off to other people. Every person has different beliefs. But i respect them because of their individuality.

people generally hate what they dont understand..i remeber when i stated dressing like robert smith from the cure in the late 80's caught heck for it but dont let people discourage you with their stupidity be who you want to be..
