My favorite character is Deep Space 9's Kira Nerys. Her determination, passion and depth of faith made her an interesting person to watch. (I also have a "fondness" for Spock and his pointed ears . . . )

I loved many of the characters for all the standard reasons.

If I had to pick a favorite though, I'd pick Garrack, the Cardassian tailor/ex-spy from Deep Space 9.

Why, you ask? Because he was a complex character. You couldn't really pigeonhole the character. He was not a good guy, but he wasn't a bad guy. He was, at times cruel, at times kind. He stayed true to his agenda, but found out things along the way that made him grow as a character. He was a character that, by all rights, should only have ever been a tertiary level character but became so much more when he was featured.

He was the bit-part played by the actor as if the entire show of DS9 was about a Cardassian tailor and the things that happened around him. Add Dr. Bashear in there, and the chemistry between the two and that, my friends, was TV gold.

Speaking of Bashear...the duo of Bashear and O'Brien was fantastic. I liked O'Brien in TNG, but until he hooked up with the Doctor, it was just like...those two together were fantastic.

Another team in ST that worked very well together (besides the ones we all think of) was Tripp and Malcolm from Enterprise, a show doomed by their creators that was full of potential but executed poorly.

Original series - Spock. He's the logical choice, after all.

Next Generation - Worf. I loved all the Klingon plot lines. (Data being a close second here)

DS9 - Dax. She's a babe, and I enjoyed all of the plot lines that involved the symbiant relationship

Spock....he was so amusing and totally logical:)))) Plus he was so devoted, remember when he said, "the needs of the many are greater than the needs of the few."

but McCoy was a real hoot, especially when he was mad at Spock!

Spock cos he was tall dark (well...greeenish really) and so spectacularly ugly he was very appealing. He was brilliant with logic and calm under pressure but shy and confused with emotions which his human half would sometimes concede to!

I like Miles Edward O'Brian form ST:TNG and DS9, He seems the be the most realists character. A tech with a short fuse.
