What is the difference between bibliography and references in APA format?

Officially a Bibliography is only made up of sources that are books. References are books, websites, articles, etc.

I think you mean an annotated bibliography and references.
But anyway, annotated bibliography explains how you used each source and gives a short summary of each, while you don't do that for references.
