She was a surfer that got attacted by a shark. She doesn't have a left arm and she never gave up she is still surfing!!!

Yes she is an inspiration. It just goes to show you that even though she had a devastating injury and it left her handicapped she has not let it get her down or slow her down. It is great that she has gotten on with her life.

While I am very glad that this person survived as I am sure she went through hell to do so, I do not find the fact that she is back surfing an inspiration. I see no difference between that and a person playing Russian Roulette, blowing their ear off, and then reloading and playing again.
She has the right to unnecessarily jeopardize her life in any way she wants to but how you find this inspirational is beyond me.

She doesn't really inspire me. I'm not really an athlete but many people are inspired because she didn't give up. The most inspiring person to me is J.K. Rowling because she was poor and lived in a roach- and rat-infested apartment but she wrote her Harry Potter books and now she's rich.
