1) Plug the PSP into the computer using your USB cable
2) Put a memory stick in the slot.
3) Select the Settings->USB Connection on the main PSP menu
4) Look for the memory stick that should be mounted under "My Computer" or on the desktop if you're on a Mac.
5) Open the memory stick up. In the window that opens, create a PSP folder (if it doesn't exist).
6) In the PSP folder, create a MUSIC folder (if it doesn't exist).
7) Put your MP3 or WMA files into the MUSIC folder.
8) Press the O (back) button to exit out of the USB connection

Check out the music area for your newly uploaded music.

All music goes into the X:\PSP\MUSIC folder (where X is whatever drive letter your system used) on a PC or PSP/MUSIC folder on a Mac.

Check out my answer to this here:

Also, it doesnt HAVE to be E:.

The drive letter is just a logical assignment to a storage device.

But lets say you're using Win XP, when you go to My Computer, you should see a new drive there under "Removable Storage". Thats the one.

ALternatively, use this approach:

These are the drives that will definitely NOT be the PSP mem stick

A:, B:, C:. If you have your hard disk partitioned, you could have D: as well.

Now, lets say you have a CD/DVD drive as well, that'll be E:.

SO the next available drive letter is F:. See if you have that. If not, let me know which version of Windows you are using and i'll help you out.

open up the psp on your computer once you plug it in then search for the folder that announces "photos" and "music" open them up and drag them in there. be conscious: The music would opt to be a MP3 format for it to play.
