I am a 14 f and I notice a lot that there are always a bunch of teens all concerned about sex and their first times. Sex has become an unattainable thing that has been craved for years then by the time you are 14 you've already lost your virginity. How come it is so important to be sexually active at the age of 14!!!!
The other day I was on my way to school and I saw this guy and he's pushing this stroller with a baby and he was about 15/16 and his girlfriend was about 19 because they were curious one night their lifes will be changed forever. And if you saw the look on his face as he looked at me when I walked by, you'd die.
Next one is my big sister. She's17 and she has a kid. My mom and her have the worst relationship ever, she still lives at home. The tension when they she each other is just too unbearable! She was at a party cam home early in the morning. Hungover and pregnant. Now what? No eduction, no money, no boyfriend! No one except me, her sister who has to babysit! Sex?!

Young lady I am nearly 70 now and I have heard this since I was your age. It is nothing new at all. Teen is the time for the sexes to develop and so much is happening to teens in a short time. About the only difference I can see between many years ago and now it that the kids know more about sex; I do not mean they do it more. I mean they are much better informed about the problems that come with it.....A tough time for most of us. Hang in there and take care of yourself the best you can.

bottom line, they do it because they're horny, and they think having that experience will make them cooler...but the reality is that they don't know anything until they suffert the consequences and even then some of them still make the same mistake. Sometimes we try to blame the parents, but i had a friend who's parents were so nice to her and toguh her good but she still got pregnant. Sometimes it's just our human nature...we're sinners young or old, we all make mistakes and the world around us doesn't help. All those shows on TV r teaching our kids that sex it's oke only if ur safe and use a condom??!!! but even when we're 10 years old we can tell right from wrong...

Smart girl!! Keep that head on straight. Sex is something you need to be ready for emotionally as well. It IS a big deal and it shouldn't be a concern at 14. You have your lives ahead of you. It's not just pregnancy, it is the emotional attachment, possible diseases (no condoms are not going to stop 100%). I think teen girls lately have seemed to have a "need to feel loved" because something is lacking somewhere else. What they don't realize is it more than likely NOT "love" they are getting at the time. It is so sad. I'm glad to hear a teen with their head on straight. Go Girl.

What are you talking about chica? Teens, from the beginning of time, have always been concerned about sex! It's a primal urge!
I completely understand what you're saying about safe sex and having kids too young... but this is not a new trend by any means!
Aloha!

I'm glad to see there are 14 yr olds who think this way. It has been getting totally out of control. I cant believe all these kids on Yahoo answers posting that they are 14 and looking for someone to f*ck. It makes me so sad that things are the way they are.

I would wait until you are ready to have sex. Don't let anyone sweet talk you into having sex before your ready. It will change your life forever. There is always someone out there that will wait and if they don't wait they were not worth being with. Have someone that will treat you like a princess. Good luck.

its because they do it to try to fit in but it really doesnt make them fit in it actually makes them a whole lot les popular because they end up having to quit school and they cant do anything but stay home and have time with the baby and the person that had the baby.its sad i know but someone needs to change things because yes kids are getting curious and like i said trying to fit in drinking is also a major problem because young people are wanting to try that also

The same thing as always, hon. Peer pressure. They are trying to 'fit in' and 'be cool'. Not enough people use positive peer pressure. You know, like influencing your friends to do well and good things. Keep the faith little sister, it won't be this way forever. Don't follow the crowd. Follow your heart.
