There is really no way to get rid of acne, but you can control it. Using products like proactiv helps control the outbreaks, but does not stop you from getting pimples/acne. Just wash your face once or twice a day with a gentle liquid soap like Cetaphil. Avoid touching them. Visiting a dermatologist would be good too.

Ivory soap. Sound ridiculous? I dare you to try it. It's been around for years, but I swear by it. I have semi-oily skin and tend to have adult acne break outs on occasion. One week of cleansing my face with a plain white bar of Ivory soap and my skin is back to beautiful. ANY dermatologist will recommend Ivory...how do you think I found out about it? What's awesome also is that it's inexpensive, doesn't require a doctor's visit or a prescription, and any grocery store sells it. It's not harsh on your skin, cleanses super well, no perfumes or colorings, no creams to apply, and takes no time to lather your face and rinse. I'm telling you, it works like a charm! Here's another tip for people with oily skin: DON'T discontinue using a light moisturizer (<--- light) following cleansing thinking you'll have less oily skin if you stop. Your face will produce MORE oil to compensate for the new lack of moisture it's used to and you'll be a slick mess! Eeewuh! Now, go buy a bar of Ivory soap so you can have your beautiful complexion back!

Try rubbing your face with alcohol using a clean white towel or cotton balls, use alcohol lightly over the acne, use the product Clean & Clear cleansing pads, and try using Astrigent you can get get all this at Wal Mart.

Also wash your face with soap in the morning and in the evening because these are the times when dirt builds up on your face try doing this three times a week.

When you feel as though you want to scratch your face I always tried putting Hydrocortisone Cream on my face for at least an hour and later wash the Hydrocortisone Cream off my face with soap.

Well, if you don't want to have to buy anything special, just wash your face two times a day, with soap. Try not to touch it after washing.

If you can buy things, the Clean & Clear foaming formula works great! You just have to wash your face two times a day with that. Then, your can use one of the Clean & Clear or Oxy pads to wipe on your face.

If you are able to go to the doctor too (it can be your normal doctor) , you can ask them for a prescription for something called Benza Clin. I just started using it a week ago, and my acne is all gone! I just wash my face in the morning, use a Clean & Clear pad thing on my face, and then put on the Benza Clin. I also do the same thing right before I go to sleep.

Good luck!

Drink LOTS of WATER!!!!! That is mostly the key! You also need to eat lots of red fruits, like cherrys, stawberries, watermellon ect. Starting with the inside of your body is what is going to make the difference!
I know this may sound gross, but DO NOT pick at your pimple. Do not pop them so they start to bleed. Doing that will only cause more pimples because once you open them all that bacteria spreads to other pores and causes more pimples! If you must pick at them follow these steps:
1) Get a wash cloth and soak it in steaming hot water, as hot as you can stand it
2) Put the wash cloth on your pimple that you are trying get out. Doing this will allow all the white puss thats in there to come to the surface.
3) After GENTLY try to pop it, if it doesnt come out then leave it. YOU DO NOT WANT BLOOD COMING OUT OF IT!!!! it leads to scaring and more pimples.
4) Use benzol peroxid to clean the area that you just opened. It will kill all the bacteria! This is an important step!!!!
5) Use a mask of some sort (I use a mask from Aveda, I love it, I think its like tormally charged or something like that, you can find it on there website aveda.com or find a local store by you) Make sure you use a steaming hot wash cloth to take off the mask!! and make sure after the mask if off that use steam ur face one last time!!

**Having your face clean at all time will also help!
**Dont touch ur face!!! It makes more bacteria
**You can also try boiling hot water on the stove and then remove the water from the stove (once steaming hot) and putting ur face close to the water. You can put a towel over ur head to keep the steam close. This is to open ur pores and clean everything out. Make sure though after ur do this to close ur pores with cold water!!!
I hope this helps a lil!!!
Good Luck

Arbonne is a good product! It's one of those multi-level marketing things and I've seen people make great money doing it.

But most of all the products are completely all natural and go through rigorous testing for allergies! You start seeing results in 1-2 days! They have all kinds of products... face wash, masques, all the normal face stuff (and then some - for all phases of life and all diff. types of skin)... they also have body wash, shampoo, conditioner, makeup, massage oils, scar reducers, etc....

Go to www.arbonne.com to look at some of their products....

by the way, I am not a consultant.... just an avid fan!!!

Believe it or not, I have found that if your acne is caused by oily skin, a good and cheap solution to that problem (unless your acne is very severe) is bar soap brands that are geared toward men. . .Irish spring and such. These soaps usually do not contain moisturizer and tend to "dry out" your skin. Again this really only works if the problem is oily skin.

I really like St. Ives Blemish & Blackhead Control Apricot Scrub for Oily or Acne Prone Skin. It's not expensive and really cleans your skin nicely without drying it out.

I started using the Ultra Clearasil cleanser, and i totally LOVE it! I used to use clinique's cleansing set too, but it wasn't helping my acne that much. Also, Mary Kay's TimeWise Microdermabrasion has been doing wonders for my skin since it's cleared up.

don't use proactive. it doesn't work. it messed my face up even worse. if you have good skin other than a few spots try a topical cream. there are lots of good ones you can by over the counter. also honey works good too. put a dab of NATURAL honey (not the stuff in the little bear) on the pimple and put a band aid over it at night while you sleep. It should take care of it. as far as scarring goes, DON'T PICK AT IT!!!!! leave them alone. they will heal on their own.
