I really appreciate the feedback and thank you all for your responses. To be honest, I am Indian and have been raised with our traditions and always taught that this was part of our history too, as many of our Nations (espically in the South) have members who are Black and Indian, or Black Indians, as we call them. Regardless, I appreciate the sacrifices of these early players and thank them for their contributions to the sport.
WaDo! (TsaLaGhi for thank you)

Native Americans were never banned from the Major and Minor Leagues like blacks were, so there were some (such as Louis Sockalexis and Jim Thorpe) in the major leagues. Indeed, it is believed that a few black or partly black players appeared in games by claming to be Indian to account for their skin tone.

I don't know about Native Americans but this is some info about one of the best pitchers of all time:

Satchel Paige
Satchel started his career in 1924 when he had a tryout with the Mobile Tigers, a semi-pro baseball team
When the ***** League wasn't playing in the winter, he would go to the Caribbean leagues and pitch
He would face major league players annually by playing against major league barnstorming teams
He was brought into the major leagues in 1948 by Bill Veeck to play for Cleveland
Joe DiMaggio called him "the best and fastest pitcher I've ever faced."
He retired in 1953.
He made a special appearance in 1965, pitching 3 innings for the Kansas City Athletics.
Pitching for the Kansas City Athletics made him the oldest player in the Major Leagues.
Paige did not commit a single error in 179 major league games.
He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1971.
Satchel was over 40 years old the entire time he played in the majors
