yes. All Scions as of right now are only front engine front wheel drive. THe Scion xA and xB are essentially a Toyota Echo platform and engine with a redesigned body on top. The Toyota Yaris, which has just recently hit the American market has, for the most part, been the European "Echo" since 2000.

only exception is in Japan, they actually offer an all-wheel drive version (marketed as the Toyota Bb) in addition to front-wheel drive. too bad it didn't make it to the U.S.

Front wheel drive...you must check out www.edmunds.com before buying....you can find out all the specs, invoice, rebates, and what most people are buying this vehicle for.
