Because most people have better things to do in the summer than sit inside and watch tv (of coure, I just watch baseball if I watch tv in the summer) so they show the worst of the worst and many repeats during that time. Why waste anything halfway decent and beyond on half the audience the rest of the year will get?

I think it's a clever ploy of the media to get you away from the TV and participate in life instead of caring about (read give a sh!t) people who aren't in any way real .... and therefore the programs must be called reality TV .... in the same way they sell crap with INFOmercials.
It's summer - step away from the box.

cause the ppl that make the shows know that we have nothing majorly important to do during the summer so they wait until the fall when we have everything to do and then we miss the shows. thats the way that it always works out! Go Figure!

You obviously don't watch the Closer on TNT Monday nights at 9.
It's the best thing to come to TV during hiatus. I wish it was on longer.

Cause they're all re-runs. All of the good shows are in the fall.
