Can love survive without sex. Yes.
A beautiful intelligent lady was sent to seduce Buddha. They spent many happy hours together talking and when he turned her down, she said: You don't love me. He replied: I love you. My love for you is true love. Because when you are old and no longer have your beauty and charm, I will still love you. She stormed out.
Years later, when Buddha was dying, he was being carried to his last resting place. People had lined up on the road to catch a last glimpse of him. In the crowd, he saw an old woman wearing a scarf shielding most of her face hiding behind a great stone.
He stopped and walked up to her and hugged her.
He said; You see, after all these years, I still love you, I always have and I always will.
That illustrates true love.
Can you have sex with someone you do not love?
Most married couples manage it, why not others.

Two humans who are in love or not can have sex. Whether or not it is intimate depends on the nature of the relationship. Couples masturbate with the other all the time it’s still sex and if the big O is all you desire great. If you want intimacy you can have intimacy over a cup of coffee and a good conversation. I have had intimacy with people I was in love with and people who were friends and I’ve been masturbated with (which is to say I have been used). I have had great sex where I never came once. I have had crappy sex and had the big O. If you are looking for a deeper level you will not find it through casual sex. Like everything in life is what you make it. You can throw paint on a canvas and call it art or you can paint your soul.

Both are possible because everybody is just living according to their own beliefs or... lack of beliefs!
However, love without sex can be just as weird as sex without love. In mature and fertile years, these two things go normally together, hand in hand. Best is to have both... but reality shows that love survives longer without sex than sex survives without love... otherwise how is it possible that so many couples break up cause they discover it was just lust but not true love... and how is it possible that long desired platonic relationships survive the hardships of distance and time???
Hope this long-term perspective when comparing the two things, will help you closer to the final answer.

I think that love can survive without sex. I plan on being a virgin until i'm married and I was in a relationship for 3 years without it. And, I guess you can have sex with someone you don't love, just for the pure arousment of it...But I call that sleezy.

Yes and yes...I know a couple that is very much in love and practice celibacy until marriage. I'm currently not having sex and I'm not in love either, so I don't know the outcome of this situation if I was faced with it. I know first hand that you can have sex without love. Been there, done that, a thing of the past, pushing forward!

I think a marriage without sex is impossible. Sex is very important, especially in your prime. It keeps your relationship going!
But YES you can have sex with someone you don't love. Many people do it, just for the feeling. Love is not nessesary to have sex.

Of course I know nothing, but its strikes me that love conquers all and because of womans natural affiliation to love, she is closer to god. Love will survive. If Adam and Eve had resisted the original sin and not fallen, where would we be ? Man is destined to sin. But why can't we transfer our DNA data without having sex ? This will happen in the future and could spell the downfall and requirement of the male species. I hope women make a better job of it !

Yes love can survive without sex: look at all the people you love whom you had not sex with.
And yes a person can have sex with someone they do not love: look at all the divorces.

Yes love can survive wiithout sex but few people can realize this. What if the person was in a bad accident and got paralized and couldnt have sex due to bad health? You would still love them wouldnt you? Yes you would if you truly loved them.

Love without sex is really difficult. Sex with someone you do not love happens more often then having sex with someone you do love. Maybe it's different in some areas, but in college..... :)
