six nil against a respected team like Serbia and Montenegro? You better be damn nervous of them. And Czech Republic, Brazil, Holland, Germany, etc, etc. Whenever we discuss the World Cup runners and riders, as it were, why is it that England seem to be the only horse running with blinkers on?

Just look at England's first two matches in their group:
England vs. Parguary - It was 1-0 due to an on goal
England vs. Trinidad - It was 2-0 but only during the last 10 mins I believe
When the teams were divided into groups, they split the 8 favourites into each group, now how are England going to cope when they face the favourites in the later stage at the Quarter Finals and semi finals.

England have beaten Argentina on the previous 2 encounters between the two countries. I still feel confident.

Am from Ireland and we all know were not good enough qualify in fact we are shite. But to answer your question, England are Shite as well. It's just as good to watch the English soccer team( Yeah we call it soccer here ) trying to justify why they didn't quite play to there full capacity. They are playing to the best of there ability , It's just they are S H I T. Come on ARGENTINA

Who was really confident in the first place? We always talk England up, brush off other teams and then wonder why we fail. It is part of life for a bunch of pikeys who like flying flags from the rooves of their cars.

We only just scraped past Paraguay and Trinidad & Tobago. All of the top teams will maul us if we don't adapt to their style and use fast movement and short passing.
Just whacking it up the pitch and hoping to get it to a striker is useless against the tighter european defences these days. the only chance is to get lucky if we continue this way.

ENGLAND are just ticking over for the group stages. We haven't started playing yet. (At least I hope we haven't started to play yet!) We have the quality, discipline and skill to go all the way to the final. Come on England.

I doubt they feel as confident as before. I dont like how england is playing. Look how they play with trinidad.its was shameful.Argentina mashing up the place for 2006!!!!!!!
