I do the same thing, my wife talks to me when I am still asleep and since i'm talking she thinks that I'm awake. My mom told me that I used to sit up in bed, when i was younger, and say a few words. One time she borrowed my car 'cause I told her that she could and I don't remember.

I think that he's blowing it out of proportion and if you apologized for it and explained to him that it ws intintentional than he should be a man and suck it up. I talk in my sleep also, my b/f has had conversations with me that I don't remember at all for example if I could pick up the clothes from the cleaners and I agreed to it but didn't remember that I did, so it never got picked up. No you're not heartless just human and stuff like that happens.

No, when you are in a deep sleep and someone tries to wake you up sometimes you dont always completely wake up and you may say something that makes no since what so ever. But you cant be held responsible for that. Just tell him next time to make sure you are completely wake and sitting up listening to him. Try to explain it to him that you were not completely awake and that you would never speak to him that way if you were in your right mind. Try to tell him you may have thought you were dreaming.

sounds as if he is the one that is heartless. I woke my wife up three nights in a row. I was asleep at the time and once I even spoke. I felt bad because I woke her but she knew I was asleep and forgave me. Didn't make me feel any better but I know she knew I didn't mean to do it.
sounds as if your boyfriend needs to grow up a little (or a lot). good luck with this one honey, you've got a real winner. can't forgive someone for what they said while sleeping......*** hole

You woke up, but you don't remember being awake. Perfectly normal, and not your fault at all.
Since you are actually only semi-conscious, the normal mechanisms that would inhibit you saying certain nasty things were not up and running - your brain was in "selfish-mode". It's really not your fault, so tell your partner that though you feel bad about it, you have no recollection of it happening, and that is a normal occurence.

Responsible? No, but you should realize that at some subconscious level you have alot of anger toward your boyfriend and your outburst in your sleep is just a symptom of that. Another symptom would be obsessive behavior toward your boyfriend.
You might want to try some therapy to help find out what's really going on.

It seems to me as though you hurt his feelings, he was trying to wake you because he felt as though he needed your help just then. If this is something you would never normally say to him, apologize and hope that he understands that you were asleep and not wanting to be disturbed, also that you didn't mean to be rude or even really understand in you sleepy state that he was ill. We all get crabby sometimes when woken up, that's normal. I'm sure if you talk to him this will blow over soon enough.

When someone is in that half sleep, half awake state, they can say some stupid stuff. He should have woke you up all the way. You really can't be held responible for saying something while you are in that state. Plus, he should know you well enough, to understand you wouldn't treat him that way.
Good luck

Yes and no. I think for chewing him out you shouldnt be held responsible...
I say yes b/c I've read articles where people allegedly have sleep sex.....or live an alternate life in their sleep (which i think is a load of bs).
So it's totally relative to each instance.

No, I talk in my sleep all the time and say all kinds of crazy things. You shouldn't be held responsible for something you said that you don't even remember.
