Brian May for guitarist - just has a very distinctive, original sound.
I hate to go with the same band, but I think Freddie Mercury gets my nod for great rock vocalist. For some reason, I really think Paul McCartney deserves some credit as a singer. I think he has several interesting styles. As much as I don't like Tool, Danny Carey is phenomenal. John Bonham will always be remembered as one of the greats. And for bass player, I am going with Chris Squire from Yes. The best, period.
Of course, these are all rock guys.

I think the greatest (though unsung) guitarist is the guy in the former band POLVO who passed into the realm of the greatestness for a few cds; today's active lifestyles, core crane secret, for some reason and then I don't know... greatness is an state of being. he got there highest. is it ash bowie? i dont really even know WHAT was on those two cds. best drummer? Chris Hrasky of SCAREY MONSTERS and EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY. I just like the guy. best singer? hmmm. I can say that I like listening to Bjork sing... the most.
