No, you're not too skinny... People develop at different rates, and some girls don't get their period until they're 16 or 17. And hormonal changes (puberty) cause your breasts to grow and get very sore, usually some time before you start your period. However, if you're very worried about it, I suggest you talk to your parents and see a doctor.

Everyone else is right, the onset of your period will vary. I was 14 before I got mine, but my sister was 10! Everyone is different, let your body do what comes naturally to it.
If you are worried about being too skinny and want to gain weight maybe you should see a doctor or nutritionist. I am sure they will be able to help you. If you have any concerns your Mum is the best person to go to as she has experienced it all, even if you are a little shy about talking to her. An older sister if you have one or any older female you feel comfortable with!
Good Luck!
P.S. I am glad you don't want to get pregnant, at 13 you don't fully understand the consequences of your actions. A baby is a BIG deal and is something you should wait to have!

if you are growing it could be really hard for you to gain weight. it sounds like you are close though, if your breasts are sore and you have cramps. i heard somewhere that girls almost always have their period as soon as they reach 105 pounds, but i think that that can vary. just eat enough that you a full and you have energy. your body will do what it will. i know it sucks to be on the edge like that all the time, but try getting some light exorcise for the cramps and maybe taking some ibuprofen or something if they get really bad. you'll start really soon.

First things first, when did your mom get her first period??? You will likely get it the same time in your life. Also your a small person so chances are you will get it later then a lot of others. Stop worry.
Also you can get pregnant MONTHS before your first period would have shown up.
And anyone who tells you to go on the pill to start your period, OH MY GOD!!!! What the hell are you thinking????? You don't take drugs to speed up your developement.
If your period hasn't started by age 16 then start worry otherwise injoy the time between now and then. Once your period starts you'll be wishing for months gone by. LOL.

You are still 13, you most likely won't hit the end of puberty until around 17 or even 18! you are still growing, i remember i was just like you when i was 13! I ate a lot, slept a lot, and my breasts hurt like none other!
You do sound skinny, but hey thats the way you are! Most likely you aren't getting your period because of that, or maybe it just isnt your time! hang in there! consider yourself lucky you don't have your period yet!
Good Luck!

Having these symptoms don't mean that you are prgo. My daughter is 22 months and weighs 20 lbs and 8 oz. She is very tiny for her age. She get cramps because of her digestinal track. That may be the cause of the stomach cramps. However maybe your chest hurts because you are a growing young lady. Mine hurt when I was young. But either way you need to talk to your mom and the doctor.

You are totally normal. My best friend is built like you and she got her period when she was 15. I am taller and heavier and I got my period when I was 11. I am in college now and study psychology and I can tell you that having more body fat can often lead to an earlier period because your body is signals to start menstruation when you have a certain ratio of fat to body weight. blah blah blah. Simply said thinner, smaller girls and atheletes often start their periods later and your breasts are sore and you have cramps because you are in puberty and thats what happens, even before your period starts.

Your cramps and breast sores are puberty, most every girl goes through it. Your "developing". Ask your mom what age she started her period, you'll probably take after her. But hun, I started when I was 15 or 16, so don't worry! Believe me, there can be some very late bloomers, my sister, she started when she was 19!!!
