Last night my girlfriend and I got back to my apartment around 2:00 a.m from a very long night ride on are motorcycles and we had sex. well the next morning when she left she took my helmet by mistake (are helmets look the same they are both full - faced helmets and the color black) well I was looking at the back of the helmet and it had a lot of sratches on it and the part of the helmet that protect your eyes look like it was about too fall right off. So I thought I would buy her a new helmet but which helmet is the best kind????

Shoei, they rock, they are made SUPER strong and light, they have the strongest and lightest full face helmets available, research them and see what you think

Full-faced helmets are great, and there are literally dozens of makes of good to great helmets. Prices for DOT approved buckets can run from $75 to $750, so you have to make some serious decisions about finances and features.
I wear a Nolan N-1 flip face (the chin-bar pivots up when you release a catch) that cost about $200. I've had if for about five years now, replaced the clear shield three times (dang roadrocks!) and painted it once. It has never been in a crash. Never buy a helmet FOR someone, unless they have a chance to try it on. Fit and feel are very important.
A good helmet is a great investment and will last a long time. It is also a thoughtful gift for your sex partner ... a message that you want to keep her compos mentis for a while!

You have the same size helmet? Make sure that each of your helmets are a good fit to your head or you may end up fighting it when going down the highway.

The best ones are the DOT approved helmets. I have a half-helmet that is a Z1R and I really like it. I also have a full-face that is an HJC that I love.

It's more a matter of preference than anything.

I like the way you ask the question . You have a girl not only likes to ride with you but is such a good lover that you want to do something special for her. A new helmet immediatly comes to mind. LOL! You're The Man. :-)

Nolan has a cool flip-front /full-face helmet (Dennis Kirk Cat.), but I think Shoei is considered top of the line.

I wear a 3/4 HCJ or a 1/2 Simpson.

Arai makes the best helmets. They are very lightwieght and comfortable. But they are expensive since they are "top of the line" helmets. Shoei makes a good helmet too. But same problem. $$$. If you want a good he,met at a great price try HJC. I've gone with them for the past few years now. Nice helmets. Here's a link of a company that sells them so you can get an idea on a price,

But I wouldn't buy it online unless you've tried it on first. I suggest going to a store to get a good fit first.

The most widely accepted test for safety is a SNELL rating (not DOT) a SNELL rating is a measure of how the helmet protects your egg, and is very inprtant when buying a helmet. Shoei helmets are rated, but some off brands may be DOT approved, but not have a SNELL certification. Current certification is M2005.

Z1R ZRP-1 Helmet- check out the article from Motorcyclist magazine listed in the site below. I don't know whether it's a good one for daily use-or if you'd even like it. You decide.

Any helmelt that is DOT rated is good but in the end it depends on the options availabe like a flip up front transition visors, vents and all that. Get someting that fits and is comfortable is the most important

I have rode bikes, and driven race cars. I have always put my head in a Bell helmet. They may cost a little more, but remember "you get what you pay for"

bell, makes some of the best and best fitting helmets out there, dot is minimum protection, snell rating is much better protection.
