Yeah, there's really no "free" when it comes to Windows XP due to Windows Product Activation. That's where your computer contacts Microsoft to make sure that the serial number you entered isn't being used by anyone else. There's really no practical way around that.

Microsoft is right now not offering free CD delivery. You can download it from the windows update website.

nope, they sell them, you can borrow one, but it won't activate
