Im doing my own SEO for my website I have registered my site and its now indexed on all 3 major search engines MSN, Yahoo & Google & Dmoz. MSN indexed me first and on an otpimatization program shows I have over a 100 links to the website. Yahoo has registered 32 links and Google is at 0. I have a good meta tag setting for Title, Keywords and Discription all at 90% why is it only MSN is giving me a good ranking and why want Yahoo & Google recognised my links like MSN does. Has anyone else experienced this and can you tell me how you were able to fix it so Yahoo & Google both recognised your links so your website could start getting ranked.

I have had the same issues. I'm sorry to say that the only remedy seems to be time. Google is definitely the toughest nut to crack, as far as getting your site decently stationed in the rankings.

My company's site still comes up better in Yahoo and others than it does in Google. They just must have different ranking systems, which, in Google's case, I think favor the really big and very-long established sites, and not necessarily those that are most relevant. The thing is to keep tweaking and getting your links out there.

Take care & Good Luck! :)

Google and Yahoo are very competitive when ranking websites and they look beyond the meta tags. you need to investigate some of these issues by reading about google and yahoos process of how they rank sites and what they look for. Each of these have little twists and turns of how you need to promote your site and learning the process from them directly is the best route. Once you understand how google and yahoo search sites beyond the meta tags within a site you will be able to make the slight changes that are needed so that you can get better ranking from these search engines.

Go with playitbyear. Just go with the flow. Don't fight what you can't change. When you swim against the river current, you lose.
