I first thought that when the ball went in but after several replays I saw differently, the jump was timed, he waited until the ball was within range and then leapt over, using Sancho as leverage (which is legal). The hair pull IMO might be an accident as he began pulling whilst at the peak of his jump.

UNFORTUNATELY PEOPLE WHO COMMENTED ON THIS ARE FROM BOTH TRINIDAD AND ENGLAND RESPECTFULLY....
IN A REPLAY ON GERMAN TELEVISION A ZOOMED SLOW REPLAY DID IN FACT SHOW SANCHO BEING FOULED ,,, BY CROUCH,,, UNFORTUNATELY THE RE FREE HAD NO CHOICE BUT NOT TO SEE IT BECAUSE A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY BEATING A FIRST WORLD COUNTRY IS UNHEARD OFF,,, FIFA WILL NOT BE TAKING ANY MEASURES AND THERE WOULD BE NO REPRIMANDING,,,, AFTER ALL ENGLAND IS A LOT MORE VALUABLE THAN TRINIDAD,, I SUPPORT THE GERMANS,, BUT I DO NOT LIKE CHEATING AND THAT'S WHAT ENGLAND DID

What? Are you calling Crouch a cheater? No way a british player would cheat. Never. They will give the goal back right away. They love fair play too much.

No - that variety of contact occurs for all time in football: and generally contained in the defender's favour. It became good to work out it became allowed because Crouch has been unfairly been penalised in aerial stressful circumstances (doubtless for being TOO TALL lol).

probably. sports are not always the most fair thing. the refs sometimes miss things and will not call things just because of the favorites.
