There aren't any "good" stocks in a "bad" market. All ships rise and fall on the tide.
Watch for the Downtrend of over 900 pts in the Dow to be broken, then look at "investing" again. The stocks that turn up quickest, or decline the least, are what you're looking for.
The stock price tells you whick ones are "good," not a hot tip.
There is no one indicator, there is no get rich quick scheme, there is no pot at the end of the rainbow.
Like any vocation, investing or trading takes hard work, lots of study, and the testing of your theories, learning what makes you tick, learning your own particular time and stress levels, and fighting the emotions of fear, greed, and loss of hope.
There can be no great success in trading (life) without great commitment, hard work, discipline, and the realization of the “right” type of thinking.
It is the trader’s attitudes, beliefs, and discipline that ultimately yield results. Courage and positive attitudes combined with sound market principles and methods will, in time, result in the desired outcome. Your persistence and determination to succeed is, in the final analysis, the critical element.

I am no expert. But reguardless of the falling stock prices during the last month, I continue to like CHL. Why? Largest cell phone company in the world operating in the largest, population wise, country in the world also with the largest growth rate in the world. And selling at a modest PE. Not bad in my book.

I'm an architect and spend a lot of time on construction sites. The one thing you absolutely must have to build anything is heavy machinery.
