I hate the smell of matches- that sulfur smell! Do you hate it too?

Man, I hate the smell of a match. It makes me almost choke! Few smells offend my nose more than a match.

What smells offend you? Do you hate matches, too?

Actually I kinda like that smell, as long as it's not right in my nose (fumes).

I don't like the smell of pot. No judgement on those who do it, tis just a smell I can't stand for personal reasons. Also, bleach. Yech.

no i like the smell of matches but i hate the smell of cheese (doesn't keep me from eating it though) maybe when u were a child u had a bad experience with matches so now u identify the smell as something bad so it "offends" you.....hey ya never know do ya

Actually I kinda like the smell of matches. I know it stinks but it something that I associate my grandfather with. When he used to smoke cigars when I was a kid he would use a match to light them. So when I smell that sulfur smell I always think of him.

As was mentioned above, we sometimes use matches in the bathroom in place of air freshener when someone "stinks out the bathroom". That smell of burning sulfur overrides the stinkyness, which is fine. After all, which would you rather smell?

The smell also reminds me of a recently lit birthday cake. Mmmm.

I love the smell of matches... I hate the smell of perfumes and cologne, they make me sick when people walk past me.
