It depends on his level of responsibility, location, etc. If he's gonna shoot whatever he pleases, then that's not gonna work.

yes as long as there is parental supervision present at all times. a airsoft gun is still a gun and should be treated as such. respect, responsibility and proper safety handling is a must when dealing with any type of gun. bb's can hurt just as well as bullets just different out comes of injuries. losing an eye vs. losing a life.
