It is woth adding a detail or to some very good answers so far but the intreaguing phenomena is Jesus's words and he would be refering to the anti-christ at the height of the trib and again the translations vary 'where the corpse is the vultures gather' will not the anti-christ seek the ultimate in idolatry the worship of the living dead.
Light type circuitry has been PIP scanned on humans it is conjecture at this time who what why etc its not an uncommon complaint its just not been recorded on PIP the papers have it they wont touch it TV news have it they wont touch it and the good old usa have it and they wont formally acknowledge having received it.
The times of Noah are unique and God sent the flood before The Lord Jesus comes again He warned and or prophesied. And the compression of heavenly places Gods wine press brings a unique kind of pressure. 'abortions' and then animated is way out but quite alot seems to fit also. Not the kind of zombie you were thinking about probably.

I think it is widely acknowledges that the references to 'sons of god' refer to the fallen angels and their attractions to the daughters of adam. The nephelim are quite a challenging issue. They may well though have been possible because of 'the sons of gods' knowledge forbidden knowledge.

I can recommend a brilliant book all about the Nephilim called 'From The Ashes of Angels' by Andrew Collins. This book explains that the Nephilim (also known as the Watchers) were a race of angels that lusted for women and where banished from heaven. Once on the earth they went about corrupting mankind with their forbidden knowledge of magic, astrology and weapon making.
The Nephilim myth could have been reinterpreted in the Adam & Eve story with the serpent tempting Eve to take a bite from the apple of knowledge. Eden & Heaven are both mentioned in the book as being actual places on Earth in a region once called Mesopotamia, that is now the Middle East. Some people consider the Nephilim to have been sophisticated time travellers from our own future or perhaps even space aliens!
Most of the information relating to the Nephilim comes from a ancient biblical scripture called The Book of Enoch. The text was not included in the bible for some reason, probably because the story didn't fit into the whole christian way of thinking. The physical description is that they were 12 feet tall, with white skin, high cheek bones (viper like), bright blue eyes and long blonde long hair! They also wore bizarre long cloaks made entirely out of black birds feathers (supposedly to shield them from the sun)! They also impregnated the women of the earth, some of which died in child birth as the babies grew unnaturally large in the womb. One Nephilim/Human hybrid was Noah who built the Ark to escape the flood. He is described in the bible as blond with blue eyes! Noah lived in a region that is a very sunny & hot, surely his features would have been more Middle Eastern. Blonde hair and blue eyes are usually associated with the Scandinavian region!
Are the Nephilim, Zombies? Zombies are the living dead, perhaps spiritually the Nephilim could represent Zombies as they turned their backs on the spiritual world in favour of the material world, therefore spiritually dead.

The Nephilim are a race of people created when the "sons of God" (angels) procreated with women of earth. The phrase loosely means "titans" or "giants", although more accurately translates as "fallen ones". In truth, like other phrases from Hebrew, they don't translate too well, hence why in some versions of the bible it remains untranslated. If you really want to read more you'll find it here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nephilim
http://www.pantheon.org/articles/n/nephilim.html
http://www.nephilim.nl/
The final link is a little more in-depth and structured.
In truth though, all of this stuff about Nephilim is mere speculation, a little like the Da Vinci Code, and is fairly meaningless in the overall scheme of things. The message of the Bible, ultimately, is about following God's will and loving your fellow man.

Since Abortion is a Sin,increase in abortions all over the world may be a bad omen.Anti-christ is a myth.It may mean anti-christians.The hold of church in westrern countrie is decling ,christianity is now only for name sake. Some other religion may be overtaking Christianity, that may be the indication. If you see 9/11,moslems have started eleminating christians.Iran is having missiles to reach USA.Peace movement only can save mankind. If American youth raise their voice against war all people will be saved.I have great faith in American Youth and sure that they will out power present war-monger regime and save christians and others. The Bible indicates that you should not allow anti chrisitan feeling to grow.,if it is done it is the end.

It's funny that Christians try to find alternate translations for the original Greek text of the Bible when it works for their agendas. But then when someone suggests that the current versions of the Bible that are used are far different from the very first writings of the disciples and actual witnesses to events, the Christians get pissed?

"Nephilim" is a Hebrew word whose basic meaning is "those who have fallen." . Alternate Translations dependant upon the context in which it is used "those who fall upon," in the sense of invaders or hostile and violent men, such as in Eziekel 32:20. " They will fall among those killed by the sword. .... "
The Hebrew word nephel is probably the root word from which Nephilim is derived- nephel means: "untimely birth, abortion, miscarriage". Nephilim would therefore be "Unnaturally begotten men" or bastards from "abortion" or "miscarriage"
"Some ... believe that the expression 'sons of God' refers to the 'godly line' of Seth, and 'daughters of men' to women from the line of Cain." - Commentary on the Living Bible
The subject of the Nephilim is one of the great puzzles of the Bible. The same general theme is found throughout ancient writings of many peoples and is not confined exclusively to the Bible. The Nephilim were apparently a race of impressive physical stature compared to the smaller Hebrews, from Numbers 13:33. "And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight." This particular reference is glossed by a statement which implies that the offspring of Anak in Canaan were descended from the renowned Rephaim or Nephilim
The origination of the Nephilim begins with a story of the fallen angels. Originating in the Book of Enoch {Apocrypha} Shemhazai, an angel of high rank, led a sect of angels in a descent to earth to instruct humans in righteousness. {See Legends of the Jews } The mission lasted for a few centuries, but soon the soldiers/missionaries/angels became corrupted in their lusting after human females. After lusting, the fallen angels instructed the women in magic and conjuring, mated with them, and produced offspring, who would later be referred to as the Nephilim.
Enoch was probably as well known to the ancient readers as he is unknown to modern readers . Genesis says of him only that he "walked with God," and afterward "he was not, because God had taken him" (Gen. 5:24). This passage made Enoch an exalted figure of considerable fascination.

Hmmm- how intriguing. I may be "cornfusing" things- but weren't the Nephilim the giants that roamed the earth?
I also have spoken to a few people who believe that the Nephilim are, in fact, aliens (extraterrestrials).

there's lots of myths surrounding the crossbreeding of gods and mortals, but this one is wrapped up in pseudo Christian gnosticism. it's always interested people to imagine angels as sexual beings. they're not zombies though, Simon Pegg will sort the zombies out.
