Gift cards, I think are an easy way out. It shows the lack of thought or imagination. If you know this person then you must know what the like. Go buy it! I hate giving money or gift cards. There should always be a meaning to a gift. It shows even more that at least for that time walking around in the mall or store you were thinking of them not that you just snatched up a gift card at the check out line.

A gift card simply states that I didn't want to take the time to buy you something. For mother's day/ father's day, you should really take the time to find something nice. Understand that they are your parents and have taken there time to raise you. Now once in awhile for a birthday it's not that bad.

If you mean the gift cards that you could buy things with, i would say they are the perfect gifts cause you dont have to stress on what to get the person. They could just go to the store and get what they want.

I believe a gift should be kind of a lovely surprise. Not a gift card. I don't like to choose my own gifts. I like it better when somebody gives a true thought for me and gifts me something he/she felt appropriate.

Yes because it gives them the freedom to purchase whatever they wish rather than getting a gift they may not like, a wise investment!

Don't give all your money to Hallmark. A hand-made card is more personal and from the Heart.
