go to Start Menu then Programs, then Accessories, then System Tools and then click on character map.
You just find it in the chart and you cut and paste it.
Change the fonts on top to view extra character pictures. Like wingding has a few popular ones too.
Just select it, hit the button COPY and then right click on where you want to paste it and click PASTE.

hold Alt down then type 3 on your numeric keyboard (make sure your number lock is on) let go of the 3 then the Alt and you should have a heart!

<3 like that? it's just < and 3. there's also this: ♥ that's in your character map. you just select it, hit copy, and then paste it wherever you want.
