Usually the victims of a felony someone committed live with the results for the rest of their lives. Why do you think that you should not? You CHOSE to commit a crime, victims do not get a choice.

And correrafan needs to stop playing the race card. It just makes people sound ignorant when they do that. I have known plento of black people that acted like snobs. And most white people I know are NOT rich. We WORK for our money.

If a person is a felon then they messed up.It isn't like they took a piece of bubble gum from a store. they committed a serious crime.
and should be held responsible for that the rest of their life.
They have nobody to blame but theirself.
And they shouldn't whine about it either...In a lot of countries felon's are put to death.....Personaly I think felon's should be put to hard labor while in prison and every dime they earn go to the victims and the state to cover the cost of damage, the cost of taking them to trial , the cost of police time, and the cost of prison, the cost of their food and clothing.....plus no TV, No free schooling , No free dental, No free medical, No free weight room, no free appeals....,Nada nothing....

Because this society can't think rationally. We believe more than we think. But as human beings evolve, probably these prejudices and inhibitions will fade away.
The irony is that although almost all religions say forgive the sins and look forward but the society never heeds to that advice.

You don't. But if that's your attitude, you probably will. Felons who feel that way tend to be repeat offenders. If you serve out your probation/parole, and make restitution if any, and learn something positive such as a trade or education to pursue, you can still come out smelling like a rose.

People see a stigma that goes with it. It's kind of like a prejudice thing, where you are the unwelcome person. People have a certain fear that can't shake, they figure once bad always bad. It's unfortunate.
