wouldn't it be cool to expect when a child is born and would say : "...cool, my dad's gay, so, what's the problem?". i think raising kids needs more than explanations, even though how much you try to make them understand how things are, they can not because somehow they have seen a "macho" father image in your times of supressing your real identity.
the pressure of the revelation will not only focus on your family but there will be a lot of pressures from within and the outside.
you need more than making them understand. you need patience and undying love being a father no matter what the consequences be. and in time, they will grow and be mature enough to understand how things are, then somehow you would be able to hear them say:"...my dad's gay and i love him".
there's actually no problem being a gay father as long as you keep the love and attention for your kids growing and going.

No. Not really. They may act like it for a little while, but usually they don't. I've known several kids who tried to act like they had a normal family, and acted like they accepted them just to appease the parents.

When I was a child, a gay used to come to our house to sell
fish. He was obviously gay, he never hid his true personality, not even to his family. And to my surprise he's got 9 children.
