Are you comfortable with them as a couple? Was your divorce mutual? It would be bad to be friends with her if it'll piss you off seeing them happy together or possibly seeing him treat her differently than he treated you. Maybe you two have more in common than just the man. I personally, couldn't do it, I wouldn't be comfortable. I don't know many women that are, but give it a shot if you think it'd be fun.

If there are kids involved then being fairly freindly with her might be a good idea especially if you and she both have kid(s) by your ex.

Keep it light and friendly early and see how things develope you might find that she's a good person and you like her.

It depends on how far it goes. I think it's ok to a certain extent, but it could get a little akward. Also, make sure she really wants to be your friend and she isnt trying to get useless information from you. Speaking from personal experience.

Nope..........find another person to be friends with. That doesn't mean you don't get along with them, you just don't consider them a "friend".
