my 9 year old has about 12-15 warts on his little hands, including one right in the pakm. I don't know what to do. I was told he was too young for wart remover, I was told of a duct tape remedy, which, when he sweats, the tape comes off.

duct tape was what another doctor recommended me..
i wouldn't recommend freezing them. i had mine frozen 3times and it's still there.
some doctors recommend using over-the-counter salicylic acid to treat them. Same application as the duct tape. I actually taped the salicylic acid patch to it and duct taped it down.
operation would be the last resort to get them out.. Sometimes, these warts go off by themselves because the body's own immune system fights the virus off..

Hi, I have a grandaughter that had 22 warts on her tiny little hands. The doc's burned and bugged juiced them until I just couldn't stand the pain she went through. We tried aloe gel, right from wal-mart. the Fruit of the earth brand works wonderful. We put it on after washing her hands twice a day. NO PAIN!!! all gone in 3 weeks. I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse. I use the remedy for athletes foot, it's a lotion and I've used it on my grandchildren aged from 8 to 16. It does work. You can have them frozen off by the doctor. Both are caused by a fungus and both are contagious

1) Soak lemon slices in apple cider with a little salt.Let stand two weeks.Then rub the lemon slices on the wart. 2) Raw potatoes have been found beneficial in the treatment of warts. The potatoes should be cut & rubbed on the affected area several times daily.This should be continued for at least two weeks.

The duct tape remedy really does work.Try putting it on at night when he's not so active.Also ask your doc.I really think they can remove them at any age.

If his doctor says he is too young, I would seek a second opinion. Then, if they say he is too young, I would wait. If someone else is telling you he is too young, go see your doctor. With that many warts on his little hands, he is better off having them professionally cared for.

He needs to see a dermotologist. My nephew had the same problem and at the same age. It is a virus. He had to use a RX creme daily. It did the trick.
