it's the hooligan element, and it's apparent in every country. if anything turkey are ten times worse than us, look at the leeds-galatasaray incidents a few years ago. you also have to consider, to name some of the worst offenders, france and poland as well in all this. we won't wreck the place on our own and it's unfair for us to take all the blame. the vast majority of fans are absolutely fine, the main reason people notice the english is because we have so many fans and so, in direct proportion, more hooligans as a result, but the problem is certainly no worse than most other countries.

I'm sick of all England fans being branded as hooligans. Yes we have a few trouble makers but I think you'll find more trouble in places such as Turkey, Holland, Spain etc. It's just the media are stuck in a 70's timewarp when we were bad.
Most England fans just want to watch good football so don't tarnish us all with the same brush please.

It's not just England fans causing trouble - the press warps it so we look bad. Since the start of the World cup a lot of Polish and German fans have been arrested too, and I don't know how many others.
And wasn't it in the last world cup or Euro champtionships that loacls dressed up in England shirts and caused trouble just to tar our name?

if trouble does happen more than likely its when we get knocked out ( hopefully not ). you wont here half of it tho. its been on the news there was trouble when Germany won. depends how the PRESS put it across. it happens week in week out over here as most people know in all our divisions not just the big clubs but unless your there you will only read the crap the papers say to try and sell more copies. i hope we go all the way . then every ones happy................ well if you follow England.
