The liver is located in the Right upper quadrant of the abdomen and it shares that space with the gall bladder. If injury occurs in that area the liver will be affected the most since it carries a lot of blood through it and is a solid organ. The gall bladder is a hollow not a prone to injury and can even be removed and life is still sustainable whereas if a liver is lacerated it is life threating

The liver takes room on the right side of the body thus the right lung has two lobes. The left lung has more room and has three lobes.
