I'm just guessing here....
Basketball, football, tennis ,soccer you could watch in a mirror and the players would still be going for the correct goal but if you look at baseball in a mirror it would look like the players were first running for third, then second and so on.?????

Well after playing softball for so many years and my dad being the official score keeper, I did. There are many things however that I have been clueless about, for instance I didn't know how a run was scored until I was like 8 or 9. And I found out last year that the manager of the World Series champions got to pick his all star staff. In other words, none of know everything!

Baseball is unique in that it has a specific orientation. Look at any other major sport that is played on a court or field and there is no specific orientation. Courts or fields are divided in halves. The baseball field has a left and right field and a specific order from 1st base to home plate. One does not switch sides or go to the other end of the field or court in baseball. you start at home and progress through the bases till you are home again.

My --guess-- is that if you watch football in a mirror, it looks the same, only the teams have flipped endzones. But in baseball since there are certain directions to run in(1st to 2nd...etc instead of 3rd to 2nd) it is backwards.

It means that anyone who's stupid enough to watch baseball in a mirror has a backwards mind and is probably a cubs fan or something. GO CARDINALS!

It appears backwards because it is the only sport where the DEFENSE has the ball and not the offense.

you know how you run around the bases counter-clockwise, well if you look at it in a mirror they run around the bases clockwise. in all other sports there is just up the court and down the court so you wouldn't be able to tell if you were looking at it in a mirror.

probably because it has a specific setup unlike football, basketball (etc.) where they go back and forth both ways. baseball only goes in one direction. Counter clock wise

They run the bases one direction the entire game. Football, basketball, hockey...back and forth.
