A person can live without food for quite some time, usually for about 3 weeks. The body will use its fat and protein stored as muscles to help it survive. If a person has a lot of fat stores (heavy or muscular), they will live longer than a person who has very little fat (thin). How long a person can survive depends a lot on the person. If you go without food for a few weeks, you will be very weak since you have been using your own muscles for energy.
Water is a different story. A person will die within 3-4 days without water. The size of the person really doesn't make much difference.
And just FYI, a person will die within 3-4 minutes without oxygen.

2-3 DAY w/o water depending on activity and 2-4 weeks w/o food depending on same plus size. Big old boy like myself at 298 will live longer than a 150 pound man. The body will use fat first then muscle.

Man it depends also on the Climatic - weather contidions...
Body Fluids rapidly dehydrated in Hot weather...
In cold areas you will get hungry quickly after a small work, a small amount of energy loss...
Normally 4 Days without Water
16 -20 Days without Food
Bcoz I have been without Water for 3 days and without food for more than 7 days.. :D
If water is not taken after his food.. surely he would die within 3 days...

Our bare necessities are coincidentally measured in threes:
without a brain: about 3 seconds
without air: about 3 minutes
without water: about 3 days
without food: about 3 weeks
without sex: about 3 months
without TV: about 3 years
